Sculptings in progress…
Posted by Erika Chan under Uncategorized
After returning from my journey to New Zealand, I had two and a half weeks to finish some very involved pieces and new materials for another big event…Project Ethos (Feb 29, 2008)…where I revealed my new line of ©Mad Maki Works sushi shirts and had 15 pieces on display (including a life-size rhino head and my first casted makeup prosthetic)! With near 2,000 people in attendance, it was an awesome experience to be involved with and the reactions to everyone’s artwork was most encouraging! After the all-night sculpting marathons and relapses of the flu epidemic, it was a struggle to survive until the stressful cleanup before the Directors After-Party at 3:00am! My friend Amy Lodevico was such an amazing help as my assistant with her production / networking expertise and always-bubbly demeanor, (helped me with pricing to styling my hair and amusing me throughout the night)!
Check out the short video clip of the progression of Mr. Rhino!
I’m updating a little everyday! Check back later this week!
